God first, Family Man, provider, rapper, student of the game…..Music is in my bones. I hear & visualize music in everything I do. My name is Don, but I go by Hungry as a hostage. While the name is ode to my father and his military background, I go by hungry as a hostage because I am hungry for life, never satisfied, and always wanting more. To me personally, there is nothing hungrier than a hostage. I am a military brat, so we moved frequently. I’m originally from Detroit but moved to Memphis when I was 11. I currently reside in Knoxville, TN and have been here for several years.
I was raised by my mom in the hood. The struggle was real. I went from being homeless & sleeping in my car, to getting on my feet and getting custody of my son. My life honestly could be a movie, but for me It’s all about the pen! Even though I have many different deliveries, I am also a lyricist. I have been influenced by several legends in the game. My escape has always been music.
